What is a blogger gadget?? It is something which spices up your blog making it more fun or interactive. There are 100`s to choose from and are easy to use.

look at the examples on this blog: I have a horroscope, fish, a weather report and a countdown to the holdiays.

To add a gadget follow these instructions:

1. Log into your blog
2. Go to Layout
3. Go to Page Elements
4. Choose "add gadget"
5. Search for gadgets and when you have chosen one click on the blue "add" button.
6. Change any settings or leave it as it is.
7. Click save
8. Now view your blog!
   

Customize your Blog Header

At the moment you can add a picture to your header but it is difficult to reposition and make it look good. Follow the steps in the blog tutorial to see how it can be done using Photoshop.

P.S. Something I forgot to mention in the video.

1. Make your header in Photoshop.
2. Go to your Blog Settings.
3. Open the Layout.
4. Edit the Header.
5. MAKE SURE TO CLICK "SHRINK TO FIT"....this means whatever size your header is it will Shrink To Fit!

Accepting your Partners Invitation

You have to add your partner to become an author of the blog because they need to be able to log on using their own email and password. The good thing is, after you have done this you can both log on at the same time, on different computers and work on the blog.

It is not as simple as you think! You need to make more changes to the Blog settings.

Choose Who Can View Your Blog and Leave Comments.

In todays tutorial we are going to choose who can view your blogs and leave comments.

This is really important because it is safer and no strangers will be able to harrass you or see any of your personal information.

1. Make sure you know your teachers email addresses.
2. You can add any of your friends and your family too.

Adding Images

In this third lesson you will be learning how to customize your blog by adding images.

1. Go to www.blogger.com
2. log in to your blog using your email and password
3. View blog
4. Write down the following information in your copy books

• Blog Address (for example: http://grangeprepict.blogspot.com
• Your email address
• Your Password

1. Click on Customize
2. Edit your title and add an image
3. Choose where you want to put the image then save
4. Click on Posting
5. Make a new post and write some interesting information about your blog subject

Create Your First Blog!

How do you get started?

1. Go to www.blogger.com
2. Click Create a Blog
3. Type in your email, username and password
   
4. Choose a title for your blog
5. Click to accept terms of service and then click Next
6. Select a template and click Finish
7. Click Start Blogging
8. Type an entry (Maybe something like "This is my first blog entry on the subject of....")
9. Choose a different formatting if you wish, for example bold, italic, different colours.
10. Hit Publish Post
    
11. Wait a few seconds then hit View Blog

Basically thats all there is to it!
